Many have gone before you, here’s what they asked: 

  • Most of the requirements are straightforward. The initial one is having an EIN number that is registered as a nonprofit - or - be under a parent organization’s nonprofit status. Most churches have a 501(c)(3) status that grants them access to the Google grant under their national parent denomination.

    Without proof of your own nonprofit status, you will need what's referred to as a group exemption letter. This is provided by an officer to confirm your church as under their covering and is on formal letterhead from the national parent denomination.

    Another requirement is having a physical address and an official email. If you rent a space, that can be what’s listed as the address. This isn’t where you receive physical mail, Google just wants to see that there's a physical building.

    Lastly, you also can't be a school, hospital, healthcare organization, or government-affiliated entity. There are separate programs for these organizations, but they don't fall under the Google for Nonprofits program. Does your church have a school? These are usually still eligible for the nonprofit grant.

  • Completely, aboslutely, 100%. While not very well known, it is something that has been around since 2003 and has benefitted 100K churches/nonprofits since then. You can Google it 😁

  • To run all of this, you need a website. If you want the ‘best’ results it needs to be decent. This is where all of the free ad traffic will be sent to. If your site needs an upgrade, we can help with that and have tools to optimize what is already existing.

    Additionally, your website needs to be secured via SSL. This tells Google that your site is secure and no one can steal the information of the visitors coming there.

  • There are very unique scenarios where churches cannot be approved for the grant. If for some reason we cannot get you approved, we will gladly refund any monthly fees you have paid. This is a 0 risk to your church and we treat you as a partner, not a transaction.

  • You sure can! It does require an understanding of applying for a Google Ads Grant for Non-profits, managing a Google Ads account, optimizing ever-changing keywords, and having the time. Usually, when people try, they end up only being able to spend a few dollars of the $10,000 they are given each month.

    If the account isn’t optimized after a few months, the grant account will get suspended for non-compliance. Running an effective Google Ads campaign across the 9 types of ad channels has a steep learning curve.

    Placing this all in context - each team member we employ has spent months in Google platform training programs. Each individual client requires the generation of hundreds of keywords, and thousands of permutations and combinations. This is totally doable if you or your team is up for that kind of work. If you are not, that’s where we step in.

  • Ideally, we like to partner for 12+ months, but the agreement is month to month.

    All things considered, you want results and we want to get them for you as soon as possible. Even the most dialed-in campaign can take time to gain momentum. There are times when all 10k can be spent in the first month, but it usually takes a little time for everything to gel together.

    If you are looking for short-term marketing growth, this might not be the ideal fit for you and we can refer you to others who thrive in that space.

    We focus on organic, sustainable growth that allows you to develop relationships at a manageable rate. To be safe, plan on 6-12 months before reaching maximum impact. This will give the campaign time to mature and identify the ideal messaging that brings the right person through your doors.

  • That would be the most ideal situation, wouldn't it?

    Unfortunately, it does not work that way. Google awards the grant in the form of credits, not in cash. Each month there will be a $10,000 credit added to the Google Ads platform.

    The monthly fee goes to pay our staff of pastors, missionaries & field workers to manage the grant spending.
